iQ InSights: Dematic presents networked software for the warehouse
Dematic has developed new software for effective warehouse management. Dematic iQ InSights is an onsite or cloud-based asset performance management (APM) system that intelligently links data on order fulfillment and asset performance management. The software then provides all usable information in a user-friendly way in the form of real-time analyses and visualizations and, if necessary, warnings. This makes it possible to make data-driven decisions in order to avoid disruptions and optimize the service life of the systems as well as the efficiency of the entire warehouse logistics.
"Dematic iQ InSights intelligently combines order processing, warehouse operations, maintenance and analysis, making it a flagship product within the Dematic iQ software family," says Scott Wahl, Vice President of the Dematic Software Center of Excellence. The system integrates company-wide data intelligence across warehouse and distribution systems, processes and devices.
The Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software combines real-time operating data and uses it to provide cross-functional analyses of the performance of the systems. In doing so, it acts in accordance with the principles of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0. "Thanks to intelligent networking, Dematic iQ InSights enables more efficient warehouse performance while simultaneously reducing overall operating costs," says Wahl.
Processes can be adapted on the basis of the precise performance overview. "For example, maintenance and servicing management can be proactively optimized by suggesting, allocating and tracking preventive measures. This allows the useful life of the systems to be fully utilized," says Wahl. The software also improves cross-functional data intelligence. The holistic and cross-warehouse approach also creates a comprehensive overview and transparency for equipment, labor and facilities in a single system.
