Leogistics expands its portfolio
Hardware is also included
Digital supply chain expert Leogistics is increasingly expanding its portfolio of consulting, proprietary software and support to include hardware components.
Leogistics has developed from a software and consulting company into a provider of integrated logistics solutions. In addition to SAP services in the area of warehousing and transportation, SAP software-as-a-product with a focus on yard management and process-as-a-service with the myleo / dsc logistics platform, the range of services also increasingly includes hardware components that make it possible to automate various processes on the factory premises and in the warehouse: These include, for example, terminals, barcode and RFID reading gates as well as cameras for mounting on forklift trucks or for the automatic recognition of vehicle license plates, smart buttons for the simple reordering of defined goods, opening and closing barriers and gates after check-in/out has taken place, through to call-off solutions for large outdoor displays, indoor monitors or handheld devices. With this portfolio, Leogistics is underlining its strategy of growing with customers and partners and offering an all-round package for digitizing the supply chain.
"Our aim is to create unique and future-proof logistics solutions. It is therefore important to us to offer hardware and software from a single source," says Christian Piehler, member of the Leogistics management team. This means that customers only need a single point of contact. The Internet of Things (IoT) opens up new possibilities for process automation, especially in warehouse and plant logistics. By using IoT devices and sensors, data in supply chain, yard and transport management processes is automatically updated, enabling real-time tracking and status monitoring.
To ensure smooth processes on the factory premises or in the warehouse, the hardware used must function flawlessly. Should a failure nevertheless occur, Leogistics offers emergency processes. In addition to hardware maintenance, support includes the integration of emergency processes, extensive diagnostic options via remote maintenance and the provision of spare parts kits.
