Visit a planned warehouse virtually in advance
Before the keys are handed over, the glasses are handed over. In order to give its customers a better impression of their new logistics property in future, the consulting firm Malorg Consulting will be using virtual reality as part of its logistics planning in the future. The construction of a new logistics center is associated with enormous investments. It is therefore worth getting an all-round feel for the new building and its interior design in advance. In collaboration with the Dortmund-based digital agency viality, Malorg developed a virtual reality application based on a current implementation project that allows customers to be transported directly into the warehouse model and look around. The 3D models created as part of the detailed planning of a project are seamlessly processed and converted into an individual virtual reality model. "Management and employees can get an impression of the logistical design and processes in the warehouse even before a new property is built," explains Dr. Markus Nave, Managing Director of Malorg Consulting.
