Highlight of the week
Clean logistics that pay off
Driving bans are no longer just being debated in cities and municipalities, they are being enforced. The StreetScooter provides the logistics sector with a tried-and-tested alternative for last-mile transportation. The e-transporter impresses users both functionally and economically.
Electromobility "made in Germany" is gaining ground in the commercial vehicle sector: local authorities, tradespeople and logistics companies are increasingly relying on emission-free and whisper-quiet electric vans from StreetScooter. The wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Post has been producing the WORK and WORK L models in series since 2015 - and is now the market leader for electric commercial vehicles. More than 8,000 StreetScooters are now on the road as delivery vehicles for the Bonn-based logistics giant alone. In the process, they have covered over 40 million kilometers and saved more than 26,000 tonsof CO2.
Sufficient range
Before making the switch, it is important to clarify: Can the electric vehicles last a complete delivery tour? And is e-mobility worthwhile for your own company? With the StreetScooter, the answer to both questions is "yes". The range of up to 205 kilometers according to the NEDC standard is completely sufficient for regional delivery traffic. This is confirmed by a study by the Freiburg Institute for Applied Ecology, according to which the majority of vehicles in this sector cover no more than 150 kilometers a day.
Versatile model variants
The WORK and WORK L models are available in the Box, Pickup and Pure variants, as a pure ready-to-drive chassis. Whether with a three-way tipper, refrigerated box or cabinet and shelving system - with the conversion partners, the StreetScooter can be flexibly configured to meet the individual requirements of the respective sectors. The maximum payload is 905 kilograms, the load space volume is between 4.3 and 8 cubic meters.
Sustainably cost-effective
Climate protection also pays off economically: consumption costs are at least 50 percent lower compared to combustion vehicles. Repair and maintenance costs are also considerably lower thanks to robust materials, a modular design and significantly fewer wearing parts.
Image boost included
With the StreetScooter, electromobility makes sense, also thanks to lucrative public subsidies and a ten-year exemption from vehicle tax. And finally, customers appreciate responsible companies that are pioneers in climate protection - there is no better image advertising.
