Ain Dubai: Let there be light

Paul Vahle's project team has installed around 15 kilometers of specially developed conductor rails, 100 double and single current collectors and almost 100 control cabinets on the "Observation Wheel" in Dubai. These supply the 48 luxury cabins of the world's tallest Ferris wheel, which is more than 250 meters high, and the 65,000 or so LEDs on the spokes with energy. Due to the increased risk of lightning strikes at such heights, Vahle also supplied 1.5 kilometers of specially tested conductor rails as lightning conductors. Following the successful completion of the "Site Acceptance Test", the Ain Dubai will also be open to visitors from October 21.
