Mission completed
The 13th International Mars Analog Mission Amadee-20, supported by Gebrüder Weiss as official logistics partner, was successfully completed in Israel at the end of October last year. A team of trainees from the transport and logistics service provider organized the transport of the mission equipment from Innsbruck to the test site in the Negev Desert. There, the Austrian Space Forum (ÖWF) had simulated an astronautical Mars expedition with a six-person field crew under isolation conditions in the Mars-like landscape. Robert Rubatscher, 3rd year freight forwarding logistics apprentice at Gebrüder Weiss in Hall, Austria: "Logistically, the Mars mission was a great experience for us because we were able to put our previously acquired specialist knowledge into practice."
