Whenever I read materialfluss, I am always amazed at how much our industry has changed and developed over the past 50 years. Just think back half a century: back then, a lot more work in intralogistics was carried out laboriously by hand. Information was communicated with pen and paper - if at all. And people were responsible for process optimization themselves - without the help of ERP or WMS. Today, intralogistics is globally networked, and the majority of tasks are automated, planned and controlled by intelligent software. Let's be honest: if someone had claimed 50 years ago that parcels and sorting systems, for example, would communicate with each other independently in the future - they probably wouldn't have been believed. The technologies and product innovations that our industry regularly produces inspire me. However, I find it just as impressive how a specialist medium still manages to stay relevant and up to date and offer its readers real added value. I am amazed at this - every time I read materialfluss. With this in mind, I wish you all the best and every success for at least the next 50 years!
