Finalists for Logistics Hall of Fame 2017 have been announced
Munich, 06.06.2017 - The finalists for election to the official Logistics Hall of Fame 2017 have been announced. On the occasion of the 7th National Conference for Freight Transport and Logistics of the Federal Ministry of Transport in Munich, the nomination committee nominated eight personalities for inclusion in the international Logistics Hall of Fame.

Previously, 17 valid proposals had been received from Australia, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland and the USA, the organization announced. The focus this year was on managers and entrepreneurs from logistics services, humanitarian logistics, e-commerce, intralogistics, science and media.
The list of candidates is only accessible to the members of the jury (including Martin Schrüfer, Managing Editor-in-Chief of LT-manager and Material Flow). The 56 international experts from all areas of logistics will select the new member of the Logistics Hall of Fame in the summer. The organization will announce who will prevail and enter the Hall of Fame in September. Traditionally, the newly elected member is officially inducted at the annual Logistics Hall of Fame Gala Reception in November at the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in Berlin.
The Logistics Hall of Fame is under the patronage of Alexander Dobrindt, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and is also supported by numerous international industry associations, media and companies, including the Port of Duisburg (duisport), Gebrüder Weiss, logistics insurer Kravag, Fahrzeugwerk Bernard Krone, intralogistics specialist Still, SVG Bundes-Zentralgenossenschaft Straßenverkehr and freight exchange TimoCom. red
