Packaging by Quadient is expanding its range of solutions: the company is celebrating a German premiere at LogiMAT (Hall 4, Stand G44) with "CVP Everest". With this solution, the machine manufacturer is targeting shippers with high parcel volumes.

"In e-commerce in particular, far too much air is still being sent. This is neither sustainable nor efficient. In view of the shortage of skilled workers, unpredictable demand and consumers' increased environmental awareness, shippers with fast, intelligent and resource-saving packaging solutions have a real competitive advantage," emphasizes Richard Nijboer, Director of Sales and Operations at Packaging by Quadient.

The process starts with a scanner that measures the rigid or flexible products ordered. Based on this data, a carton, which can be provided with individual branding, is automatically cut out, folded, closed and glued. According to the company, the systems are among the fastest on the market. The entire process takes just three seconds. At the end of the process, an integrated labeling machine automatically sticks a label onto the carton.

One or two employees are required to feed in the items. Depending on the situation, the CVP Everest can replace numerous packaging stations. For smaller shipping volumes, Packaging by Quadient has the CVP Impack (formerly: CVP-500) in its range.
