Simplified control of smart glasses fleets

Picavi, pick-by-vision provider, presented its new "Cockpit" product at LogiMAT. It can be used to optimize the initialization of the pick-by-vision solution on the data glasses and the update of an entire fleet of glasses.

"Cockpit" also makes it possible to play the content from the glasses display on any screen - for example, for training warehouse staff. "Like any digital product, our pick-by-vision solution is subject to a continuous adaptation process. With Picavi Cockpit, we have made the smart glasses application even more customer-friendly," says Carsten Funke, Picavi shareholder and Chief Sales Officer, summarizing the innovation presented in Stuttgart. "In particular," continues Carsten Funke, "we will be able to further reduce roll-out and support costs in the future."

Picavi plans to make the IT tool available to its more than 60 customers worldwide in the near future. For example, the already rapid introduction of workers to the functionality of the smart glasses could now be completed in larger training sessions using screen casting, thus further shortening the overall training phase. At LogiMAT, Picavi customer Gebrüder Heinemann explained to the audience how Picavi's pick-by-vision solution speeds up order picking and also reduces the error rate.
