ProGlove cooperates with Samsung
Industrial wearables specialist ProGlove has announced a joint solution with Samsung Electronics America that addresses the growing need for wearable scanners in industries such as retail, transportation, logistics and manufacturing. The combined solution consists of ProGlove's Mark product family and Samsung's Galaxy XCover Pro.
The solution is designed to enable a seamless and secure flow of information with consistent traceability. The solution package will be presented for the first time at this year's NRF Annual Convention and Expo from January 12 to 14 at the ProGlove booth.
When mobile workers use this shared solution, they always have the information they need at their fingertips and can enter the required data into their IT systems. They no longer have to return to stationary terminals to process their business transactions, memorize directions or pick up conventional scanner guns.
The Android-based Galaxy XCover Pro is a smartphone that is suitable for industrial environments. It provides employees with a single device that can perform multiple tasks simultaneously. It offers the security to complete any task under different conditions.
Other features include an enhanced touchscreen that can work in all conditions, an "enhanced touch" for use with gloves in wet conditions and multiple programmable buttons that can be used to create customized actions with one click. By utilizing the Samsung Knox platform, users can also increase data security while improving employee management.
Barcode scanning is important for documenting process steps and tracing the path of a product through the supply chain. ProGlove offers a next-generation scanning solution that is easy to implement and reliable to use. It also shortens scanning time and reduces picking errors thanks to the sophisticated worker feedback function.
