Körber Group acquires picking technology specialist Centriq
Hamburg/Blackpool, 22.06.2018 - Körber has strengthened its Business Area Logistics Systems with the acquisition of the Centriq Group. The acquisition was completed on June 20. With its subsidiary Voiteq, Centriq is a leading provider of logistics services, particularly for voice solutions. Voiteq offers voice software solutions and services with "VoiceMan".
The Centriq subsidiary Cirrus Logistics provides software and services for the development and implementation of supply chain strategies. Centriq also offers services for its products. These include voice-as-a-service subscriptions, supply chain consulting, implementation and integration or logistics hardware consulting, design and site evaluations.
"With the successful acquisition of Centriq, we have added another important component to our logistics portfolio. With this excellent team, we will strengthen our leading international position in the supply chain management segment with access to multinational project opportunities," emphasizes Stephan Seifert, CEO of Körber AG.
The acquisition complements the existing North American language solutions business Vitech. Centriq's products enable greater efficiency in warehousing with direct delivery capabilities. Voiteq's voice solutions free employees' hands and eyes, improving ease of use, productivity and accuracy in task completion.
