Zukunftskongress Logistik: Registration open

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Future Logistics Congress, jointly organized by Fraunhofer IML and the Digital Hub Logistics, will take place in digital form for the first time from 15 to 17 September 2020.

Under the motto "From Revolution to Transformation - With Artificial Intelligence into the Silicon Economy", top-class speakers await the congress participants, including Federal Minister of Transport Andreas Scheuer, BDI President Dieter Kempf and Felix Fiege, CEO of Fiege Logistik. The full program is now online and registration is open.

In addition to the digital format, other innovations await congress participants: to follow the congress via live stream, registration is all that is required and participation is free of charge. In this way, the organizers want to make a small contribution to relieving the burden on the struggling economy. In addition, the congress will take place over three days instead of two for the first time. Due to the digital format, the topic-specific sequences on the second day of the congress, which otherwise take place in parallel, will now extend over two days and take place one after the other. This gives every congress participant the opportunity to follow all sequences if they are interested.

The motto of this year's Future Logistics Congress is "From Revolution to Transformation - With Artificial Intelligence into the Silicon Economy". The focus is on the transformation of the economy into a digital platform economy: the Silicon Economy. The presentations will revolve around highly topical trends such as artificial intelligence, blockchains, machine learning and autonomous driving. Live tours of the institute's research halls will also give congress participants an insight into the latest technologies that Fraunhofer IML scientists are currently working on.

The Digital Logistics Award start-up competition is also part of the program again. Several start-up teams will compete in a pitch session for prize money totaling 24,000 euros. With 32 applicants from 13 countries, the award is more international than ever before.
