Another cancellation for 2022

Martin Schrüfer,

The Material Flow Congress will also be postponed to 2023

The news almost got lost in the back and forth regarding the Hannover Messe: The 30th German Material Flow Congress, planned for March 31 and April 1, 2022 in Munich, has been canceled and postponed to 2023.

The new date has already been set for 23 and 24 March 2023 and, in view of the continuing uncertainty for face-to-face events, the planning is pursuing a hybrid concept from the outset, "so we are ruling out any further cancellations," the organizers write.

The reasons for the cancellation are therefore, and we quote: "The German Material Handling Congress thrives on presence and personal encounters; a fact that has been highly valued by the participants for years and which prompted us to plan exclusively with a presence congress for 2022. Firmly convinced that the pandemic would be over by the end of March 2022 and that we would all finally be able to return to normality, the planning was reliable and stable.

The ongoing planning uncertainty in the face of rising incidences at the start of the new year - unfortunately currently at record levels at the event venue in Bavaria - is now forcing us once again, against all expectations last year, to forego our industry get-together in 2022 in the desired and proven form. And it is precisely because the meeting and the space for personal exchange are so important to us that we have decided against a slimmed-down online version. This would not do justice to the program and the strong character of the congress. We believe in this and are looking forward to continuing our successful events in March 2023 in an appropriate manner and in the proven tradition - on site, with the industry around us and real exchange. Your MFK team"
