German Logistics Congress in Berlin canceled - Initial reactions
The late cancellation of the German Logistics Congress in Berlin is naturally being discussed in the industry. materialfluss asked around.
In addition to a statement by name (see below), the editorial team received numerous comments from company representatives who do not wish to be named. "We don't want to say much about it here, except that we were on board until the end," said one intralogistics company, for example. Another exhibitor, who was also listed as such in the program until the end, wrote: "We had withdrawn our participation as an exhibitor early this year anyway." Another company: "Great - we don't even know about it yet". "
In contrast, another company spokesperson commented in a very balanced way: "This is all annoying, understandable, a shame, sad, avoidable - questionable? We are all currently living and experiencing a completely new situation where many things cannot be planned or predicted."
Kuno Neumeier, CEO of Logivest, explained: "Under the current circumstances, it is only sensible to switch the German Logistics Congress and Expo Real to purely digital formats. Of course it is a great pity, but ultimately it is not just about our own health, but also about our social responsibility as an industry. Logivest will of course also be present at the "Online-DLK". We also offer appointments for virtual exchanges. But of course this is no substitute for face-to-face meetings. That's why I'm already looking forward to autumn 2021, hopefully with an analog DLK and ExpoReal again."
