Martin Schrüfer,

Future Logistics Congress to be held digitally again in 2021

Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the uncertain outlook for events, the "Future Logistics Congress - 39th Dortmund Talks", jointly organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML and the Digital Hub Logistics, will once again take place as a purely digital event from 14-16 September 2021.

Participation is free of charge. To follow the congress via livestream, all you need to do is register. In addition, as last year, the congress will take place over three days instead of two. Due to the digital format, the topic-specific sequences on the second day of the congress, which would otherwise take place in parallel, will once again be held over two days and will take place one after the other. This gives every congress participant the opportunity to follow all sequences if they are interested.

The motto of this year's "Zukunftskongress Logistik - 39th Dortmunder Gespräche" is "Never walk alone - mastering AI, 5G and blockchain together with open source and open innovation". The focus is on the role of open source for the key technologies of the future and for Europe's path to a digital platform economy: the Silicon Economy.

Anyone who wants to experience Prof. Dr. Dr. ten Hompel (pictured) virtually beforehand is in good hands at the digital networking days - the program of the networking event organized by materialfluss, INDUSTRIAL Production and KUNSTSTOFF MAGAZIN in mid-June brings together more than 50 lectures, workshops and keynotes. Information about the event can be found here.
