Energy is the theme of this decade
In the second part of materialfluss' exclusive encouraging survey on the economic outlook for 2023, six other industry experts give their views. Stefan Prokosch, Senior Vice President Brand Management Linde MH, is one of them.
Who would have expected this disruption at the beginning of 2022, but every challenge accelerates change and can ultimately do good. We have had to painfully learn how important it is to become less dependent on fossil fuels. Energy is the issue of this decade and we need to solve it sustainably. In the next few years, Europe and Germany in particular will undergo a radical change to renewable energies,CO2-neutral products and much more sustainability. We at Linde MH will make our contribution by continuing to invest in key technologies such as Li-ion and hydrogen as well as holistic energy solutions. With HVO, we have an alternative for those who want to continue using combustion engines and still make a contribution to the environment. In 2023, we will put our hydrogen infrastructure into operation and present our first own fuel cell. We are continuing to invest in highly efficient electric drives that offer an uncompromising alternative to traditional fossil fuels. The assessment of business development is still subject to considerable uncertainty.
