Silicon Economy Continuum
Digital "Future Logistics Congress - 40th Dortmund Talks"
The digital "Future Congress Logistics - 40th Dortmund Talks", jointly organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML and the Digital Hub Logistics, will take place from 13 to 15 September 2022.
This year, the focus is on digitalization and open source. "The dawn of the 'Silicon Economy Continuum' - The future of logistics is digital, open and sustainable": this is the motto under which the participants of the "Future Logistics Congress" will discuss the innovations and course-setting required to achieve these goals. This year, the event will once again take place digitally and free of charge. To follow it via live stream, all you need to do is register.
The first day of the congress will feature talks and keynote speeches by leading representatives from science and business, including Steffen Bersch (SSI Schäfer), Jochen Thewes (DB Schenker) and Ralf Düster (Setlog). The main topics of the ZukunftsPlenum on the first day of the congress will include artificial intelligence and open source in the Silicon Economy, blockchain-based financial flows and concepts for liveable cities and regions.
Due to the digital format, the topic-specific sequences on the second day of the congress, which otherwise take place in parallel, will again extend over two days and take place one after the other, so that all presentations can be followed if interested. The topics of the Fraunhofer symposium include the digitalization of load carriers, data-based optimization, quiet logistics and the possibilities of co-creation with the help of digital platforms.
Between the presentations, Fraunhofer IML scientists will demonstrate applications directly from research in the "Digital Sandbox". Using prototypes, they will present numerous innovative technologies for the logistics of tomorrow.
