Port meets mainland 2019 in Regensburg
The "Port meets mainland" event series enters its fourth year in 2019. It kicked off on February 14 in Regensburg, with around 50 company representatives accepting the invitation.
Representatives from industry, trade, logistics and the service sector from the Upper Palatinate were invited to gain an impression of the efficiency of the ports of Lower Saxony with the deep-water port of Wilhelmshaven and its hinterland connection by rail. The presentations focused on information about the Lower Saxony seaport group, the service portfolio of Eurogate Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven and the space potential in the neighboring freight village. The focus was also on TFG Transfracht's seaport hinterland logistics offering with Wilhelmhaven's integration into the AlbatrosExpress network. Around 50 company representatives accepted the joint invitation from Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketing Gesellschaft (JWPM), Eurogate, Seaports of Niedersachsen and TFG Transfracht to the BMW Group site at the Regensburg plant.
Christian Süß, Head of Regional Division South at TFG Transfracht, pointed out in his presentation that the Regensburg site is connected to JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven several times a week for combined transport. CTWM Sales Manager Michael Moehlmann provided information on current developments and projects at the freight village. Oliver Bergk also presented the Eurogate Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven. The potential of the seaport group in the northwest was the subject of the presentation by Timo A. Schön (Managing Director of Seaports Niedersachsen GmbH).
