As COO Road & Rail and COO Sea & Air, the two previous authorized signatories will now focus exclusively on the business of the parent company and relinquish their responsibilities as managing directors of Nosta Logistics GmbH and Nosta Sea & Air GmbH. With the new organizational structure, the internationally active full-service logistics provider aims to create ideal conditions for the future development of new markets.

For this reason, the Osnabrück-based logistics company wants to stabilize the foreign markets it has already entered, such as the Netherlands, Poland and the USA, and gain new market shares there. On the other hand, Gallenkamp intends to position its existing services in the areas of road transportation, rail transport, air and sea freight, contract logistics, e-commerce and consulting in completely new markets in North and Central America and Eastern Europe.

"For this mission, we need structures that we can grow into and a global management board that can focus primarily on internationalization," says the CEO. The appointment of Andreas Wolke-Hanenkamp and Peter Mundt to the management board of the holding company and the structured handover of previous responsibilities is therefore the next logical step.

"Both board members have been valued colleagues for a long time and bring in-depth expert knowledge - a clear enrichment for the management," praises Gallenkamp. Wolke-Hanenkamp, who has been with the company since 1991 and is therefore a Nosta veteran, was CEO of Nosta Logistics GmbH from 2007 until recently. The trained forwarding agent and business economist was responsible for the Warehousing and Logistics Germany business units as well as for the overall strategic development of the company. In 2021, the now 54-year-old was appointed to the Management Board of Nosta Holding as an authorized signatory.

Mundt has also been working in the logistics industry for more than 40 years. From 1988 to 2005, he built up the Hanseatic forwarding company Gebr. Hirdes into one of the leading German air and sea freight forwarders for the North American market in his role as Managing Director. He has also held various management positions in the international freight forwarding industry. Since 2019, the Hamburg-born and experienced sea and air freight expert has been driving the strategic direction of the Nosta Group's international sea and air freight activities as Managing Director of Nosta Sea & Air GmbH. He was also responsible for the American business as CEO of Nosta Logistics Corp. The 63-year-old has also been a member of the Management Board of Nosta Holding - previously as an authorized signatory - since 2019.
