Transco Berlin-Brandenburg becomes Life Logistics Freight
One and a half years after the takeover by the SLS Group (now renamed Life Logistics Global), Transco Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH is dropping its company name at the turn of the year and will operate as Life Logistics Freight GmbH from January 1, 2023.
"The most important reason for us is that the new company name expresses our affiliation with the parent company Life Logistics Global," explains Stephan Puvogel, who will remain Managing Director of Life Logistics Freight GmbH (LLF) even after the change of name. There are also formal legal reasons: The naming rights granted by the former majority shareholder Transco (Singen) during a transitional period will expire in the near future.
The renamed company will retain its existing business model. Life Logistics Freight takes on transportation tasks for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries throughout Europe and Eurasia. LLF also offers temperature-controlled food transportation. "Our customers will continue to benefit from our expertise in Eastern Europe," emphasizes Stephan Puvogel. "Our well-known pharmaceutical transports to and from China will also remain on offer. Recently, we have even added truck transports to North Africa to our service."
One-stop shopping in a network
The truck freight sector with a focus on pharmaceuticals is also the specialty of Life Logistics Freight within the parent company Life Logistics Global.
"The group will play a greater role in the future," announces Thomas Lang, Managing Director of Life Logistics Global. The group offers leading logistics services for stem cell research and gene therapy, among other things. The Life Logistics Global companies are also able to transport radioactive substances for diagnostics and radiotherapy or provide supply chains for clinical trials. Another service is the distribution of medicines to patients' private addresses. "We thus offer the pharmaceutical and life science sectors many logistics services from a single source," explains Thomas Lang. "Thanks to these synergy effects, we will further accelerate our growth in specialty logistics in the future."
