Hellmann and Silgan Closures EMEA go into extra time
The global logistics service provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and the manufacturer of closure solutions Silgan Closures EMEA have extended their ten-year collaboration.
With the third extension of the contract, Hellmann, as a full-service provider in the field of contract logistics, will continue to coordinate all distribution activities throughout Europe as well as transport management for the world's leading closure manufacturer.
Hellmann took over supply chain management for Silgan Closures EMEA back in 2009 as part of a complex outsourcing project and has been organizing the entire logistics from the Control Tower in Hanover as a 4PL provider ever since. This means that Hellmann manages and optimizes the entire intermodal transport chain within Europe as a neutral intermediary between Silgan Closures EMEA and various logistics service providers.

With the know-how of Hellmann's experts, we have been able to significantly optimize and efficiently set up our supply chain in recent years. Particularly noteworthy is the in-time rate, which at almost 100% is extraordinarily high, and not just compared to the rest of the industry," says Nicolaj Meissner, Logistics Manager, Silgan Closures EMEA.
