The food service logistics company is opening its ninth location in Germany in Wunstorf. In the long term, up to 200 employees will work there.

In addition to HAVI and Verdion, the city of Wunstorf, the Hanover region, the construction company Klebl and many project participants also celebrated the handover of the new site. "The 15,000 square meter distribution center is not only a new location for HAVI, but also a milestone within our sustainability strategy," says Roland Schmidt, CEO of HAVI Logistics Germany.

Thanks to the optimized network structure, the logistics provider's delivery routes in the greater Lower Saxony area will be significantly shorter. "We provide first-class services for our customers and are creating capacity for further growth. This is only possible with a committed workforce. I am therefore particularly looking forward to our growing team here on site, which currently has almost 100 employees," says Schmidt.

Focus on sustainability
The company's own LNG filling station on the site complements the growing LNG network in Lower Saxony. According to HAVI, it currently has one of the largest LNG fleets in Germany and is gradually expanding its commitment.
