Sales targets 2023
Gruber passes the 500 million euro mark
520 million euros in turnover: this was the target Gruber Logistics had set itself in its three-year strategy for the end of 2023. The South Tyrolean logistics company has now already passed the 500 million euro mark at the end of November. This does not yet include the recent takeover of the German heavy goods and oversized transport company Universal Transport with several locations in Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean region. Including these, Gruber Logistics is heading for an annual turnover of around 700 million euros.
The company can therefore report unusually high growth of around 30 percent - in a sector with overall growth of only around two percentage points. "This increase is no coincidence, but is based on the forward-looking decisions of the Gruber management. In the midst of the economic and health crisis, we bucked the general trend by increasing our investments and diversifying our services both in terms of the range and the areas served," says Martin Gruber, CEO of Gruber Logistics. "We also invested in new warehouses and vehicles last year, as well as in additional specialists with new skills."
In addition, investments in sustainability and digitalization have been increased, which has significantly changed the positioning of the Gruber Logistics brand.
"We are no longer perceived internationally as a pure logistics provider, but rather as a player that creates new solutions," adds Gruber.
This solution-oriented approach is also increasingly evident in international collaborations. With the support of the European Commission, the company has launched a number of research projects in the field of heavy-duty vehicle automation and the new generation of vehicles with alternative fuels.

Gruber Logistics and Universal Transport
New European market leader in heavy haulage
Two logistics companies join forces: the integration of Universal Transport into Gruber Logistics creates a new European market leader in oversized and heavy goods transportation.
Gruber is an internationally recognized service provider in the transport of full loads as well as oversized and heavy loads. The group has now also made a name for itself in the fields of logistics, the management of part loads (LTL and groupage) and sea and air transportation. With its considerable growth in turnover, the company is not only competing with the European market giants in the sector, but with its innovative strength is also poised to be one of the main drivers of the transformation of the industry.
"We were convinced that we would be able to achieve this annual result, but we are surprised ourselves that we reached the mark before the end of the year. The most important difference to our competitors lies in our ability to bring together the best people on the job market and make the best use of them. As CEO of Gruber Logistics, Marcello Corazzola and I see building a strong team as a key guiding principle, which will remain our focus in the coming years. Following the takeover of Universal Transport, we have also strengthened our management team. Together we will position our group of companies even more strongly on the market," explains Martin Gruber.
