"The vision must be evaluated"

David Tena, Head of Market Operations at System Logistics, on the right strategy for warehouse modernizations.

material flow: Where and with what do you start when it comes to the idea of modernization? What advice do you have for the logistics managers among our readers?

David Tena: When it comes to modernization, the first thought is about the vision a company has about its own future. Various factors need to be considered, such as the estimated market share and the structure required in terms of available staff, the complexity of operations and the management of information both internally and externally. Once this vision has been established, the second step is to evaluate which technologies and IT solutions are better suited to the defined purpose.

mfl: Which of your company's products or services is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of modernization?

Tena: The first thing that comes to mind is consulting services that ensure you receive professional guidance and advice to implement the right solution.
