Hub for new thinking and innovation
Expo Real opens another hall
Expo Real is taking account of the strong development of the trade fair in recent years and is opening an additional hall. In Hall A3 - NOVA3 - space will be given to the thematic focus on innovation and corresponding exhibitors will have more room. The Real Estate Innovation Forum including Tech Alley and Startup Contest will move here. The NOVA3 Forum will also be added.
"2,095 exhibitors, more than 45,000 participants - in 2018, Expo Real noticeably reached its limits in terms of hall capacity utilization. For EXPO REAL 2019, we will therefore open another hall and thus increase the number of halls to seven. On the one hand, we are responding to the demand for more space and from new exhibitors; on the other hand, official regulations require even more space in the halls due to the sharp increase in the number of participants. In addition, the topic of innovation is becoming more and more important with increasing digitalization and demand from the real estate industry is rising accordingly," explains Claudia Boymanns, Expo Real Project Manager.
Innovation takes center stage
The topic of innovation will take center stage in Hall NOVA3. The Expo Real Innovation Forum, including Tech Alley and the area for the startup contest, is moving here. "We are delighted that we have also been able to attract several of the previous start-ups from Tech Alley and the proptech network as main exhibitors," continues Claudia Boymanns. These include 21st Real Estate, Alasco, BuildingMind, Cloudscraper Europe, Disruptive Technologies Research, FairFleet, PlanRadar, Sensorberg, Solutiance Services, Visn by Osram and Wicona.
In addition to these "Grownups", 75 startups (2018: 65) will present their digital products, solutions and ideas in the areas of Plan & Build, Manage & Operate, Research & Valuate, Invest & Finance, Market and Next City Solutions in Tech Alley this year. In addition, the young companies will once again have the opportunity to present not only their products but also themselves to the public in a Tech Talk zone. The 25 finalists of the Built World Innovation Contest will be part of Tech Alley. The organizing cooperation partner from previous years has changed its name to Built World Innovation (formerly Real Estate Innovation Network). Europe's largest proptech start-up competition will be held in the run-up to the trade fair.
Great interest from both young and established companies
NOVA3 is also attracting great interest from the established real estate industry. Companies with an affinity for innovation, including Drees & Sommer and Immobilien Scout, as well as consulting firms that are increasingly active in the field of digitalization and technological innovation, planners and established companies, some of which already rely entirely on digital solutions, will be presenting here. With their own, also elaborately designed NOVA3 Forum, these companies will have an additional stage to discuss trends and innovations in the real estate industry.
"We are delighted to be able to give the topic of digital innovation more space with NOVA3," says Claudia Boymanns. "The Tech Alley, the Tech Talks, the contest and the extensive conference program in the Real Estate Innovation Forum, together with the new NOVA3 Forum, form a unique hub for new thinking and innovation in the real estate industry."
