Otto Roth provides Kanban systems for C-parts procurement, including RFID solutions. One advanced function, for example, is an external light signal that indicates when empty containers have been read.

In this way, the user recognizes that the data has been sent to Otto Roth and has triggered an order process. The light signal can be flexibly integrated into various Kanban environments. A new function of the RFID Master Kanban Box user software will also be presented: Users can quickly and clearly obtain all information about the turnover frequency, condition or storage location of the bins on the www.Kanban-Mobil.de platform. This means that users know where the bins are. In the RFID-based Kanban concepts, each container is equipped with an RFID transponder label that contains all relevant item data. There are various options for reading them and automatically triggering an order process, such as RFID shelf or floor mats on which employees can place empty Kanban containers.
