The new Getac K120 will be available from July 2021. More and more companies are turning to rugged mobile devices to perform core tasks such as industrial programming, robot control or warehouse/inventory management. This is exactly what the new Getac K120 was designed for: its connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6, WWAN and Bluetooth 5.2, allow workers to connect to and control machines anywhere on the shop floor, while I/O interfaces preserve the continued use of legacy devices where necessary. The K120 can also be integrated into warehouse management and ERP systems as well as WMS software. An optional barcode and RFID reader ensures smooth processes in warehouse/inventory management.

The next generation of the successful Getac K120 comes with many upgrades and enhancements to further optimize productivity in remote and/or adverse environments. Its 11th generation Intel Quad-Core i5/i7 processor with integrated Iris Xe graphics (codenamed "Tiger Lake") ensures performance, fast response times and detailed graphics. This allows multiple tasks to be completed simultaneously without restrictions such as slowing down or overheating. Further improved connectivity thanks to built-in Wi-Fi 6, WWAN with integrated GPS/GLONASS and Bluetooth 5.2 enables the use of a range of over-air interfaces, while Thunderbolt 4 technology simplifies and accelerates data acquisition in the field. Other key features include removable PCIe NVMe SSD drives and 16 GB of RAM as standard.

The K120 is also equipped with a 12.5-inch, 1,200 nits LumiBond 2.0 display, combined with special Getac technology for easy operation and readability even in bright sunlight. Various touch modes (normal touch, glove and pen mode, plus optional digitizing mode) increase efficiency, while hot-swap technology (with two hot-swappable batteries) allows uninterrupted work for entire shifts. For full protection of sensitive data, the K120 includes a package of various security features with multi-factor authentication management, including Intel vPro technology, TPM 2.0, HF RFID reader, smart card reader, fingerprint reader and Windows Hello.

Like all Getac devices, the new generation K120 is designed from the ground up to be rugged for maximum reliability, outperforming other rugged devices on the market. MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G and IP66 certification, drop resistance from up to 1.8 meters and a temperature range of -29°C to 63°C guarantee safe working without fear of data loss, damage or failure.

"The original K120's blend of mobility, connectivity and rugged reliability is ideal for customers who need a best-in-class solution not just for a few applications, but for every conceivable scenario," said Rick Hwang, President of the Rugged & Video Solutions Business Group at Getac. "The new generation K120 raises the bar even higher, combining industry-leading rugged design with the latest technologies, applications and services to create a total intelligent solution that will optimize productivity in many demanding industries."
