The basic idea behind the Hamburg TruckPilot pilot project to integrate an autonomous truck into container handling: the driver of the container truck leaves the truck on arrival at the CTA check gate and takes the prescribed break from driving. Meanwhile, the truck autonomously delivers its container to the terminal site at the specified unloading point.
