Flexibly scalable
Still presents integrated automation solution
In its iGo automation solution, intralogistics specialist Still aims to combine the entire range of automated solutions.
Hardly any other market segment in logistics is as dynamic as automation. This makes it all the more important to have solutions that can be implemented and adapted flexibly, are easy to maintain and service and grow with the requirements of the company. This is where Still wants to start with iGo.
Holistic automation
In addition to scalability, the automation segment of logistics is currently characterized by the growing demand for simple, quick-to-implement solutions for the automation of individual logistics processes, which also enable companies with little automation experience to make a smart start in automation. With iGo, Still offers a holistic automation solution that, according to the company, can implement all stages of automation flexibly and scalably - regardless of whether a company wants to start with the automation of individual process steps or is looking to implement a comprehensive system solution with integration into existing infrastructures.
"Thanks to our flexible and modular software, our customers don't have to make a long-term commitment as to how high their level of automation should be and to what extent processes should be integrated in the future," explains Dr. Florian Heydenreich, Executive Vice President Sales & Service Still EMEA. "Still iGo is scalable, easy to service and maintain thanks to standardized, digitalized components and can cover the entire range of automation from simple plug-and-play solutions to comprehensive system solutions - smart, flexible and efficient."
To illustrate the range of possibilities, Still presented two live scenarios at this year's Logimat.
Automation based on the plug-and-play principle
In the iGo easy scenario, trade fair visitors were able to experience the new Still plug-and-play solution for the quick and easy automation of individual logistics processes for the first time, using the EXV iGo high-lift truck as an example. In addition to moderated demonstrations, visitors were also able to configure parameters such as the route and transfer points of the automated vehicle themselves during the demo sessions.
"The uncomplicated commissioning is an important decision criterion for many of our customers when choosing the right automation system for them," explains Dr. Florian Heydenreich. In addition, iGo easy impresses with its scalability - and its compatibility with the STILL iGo systems solution. "If a company grows and is confronted with increasing challenges, growing complexity and changing framework conditions, an uncomplicated transition from iGo easy to iGo systems is possible," continues Dr. Heydenreich.
Highly individualized automation
In the second live scenario, the company demonstrated what the automation of comprehensive logistics processes can look like with Still iGo systems. Various automated solutions interacted with each other at the trade fair stand.
