The Eloprotect safety system ensures that safety distances are maintained between forklift trucks and personnel in narrow-aisle warehouses, thus preventing accidents and collisions. It consists of an evaluation unit, laser scanners and display and operating modules. Eloshield, on the other hand, is a UWB radio warning system. Individually configurable warning and protection zones provide a protective area around the forklift trucks. Modules, which are attached to vehicles or carried by people, monitor every movement, detect their location and issue warnings if they are too close to each other. A new option will soon be available: With EloshieldSpeed speed control, vehicles in high-risk areas, such as production facilities, automatically slow down when cobots, AGVs and humans are working in close proximity.
