Still supports three Hamburg social projects for children and young people

In 2020, Still is once again supporting the Mittagskinder Foundation, the Kultur Palast Hamburg Foundation and the Wilhelmsburg Production School with a donation of 5,000 euros each. Managing Director Thomas A. Fischer handed over the donations to the three institutions at Still's Hamburg headquarters.

"Supporting Hamburg's children and young people is a matter close to Still's heart. It is also an investment in the future of our city - and particularly important in these challenging times," explained Thomas A. Fischer at the donation ceremony. And so this year, Still is once again supporting three local projects that are committed to equal opportunities, rights, integration and education for the generation of tomorrow - and to ensuring that as many children as possible receive a healthy meal every day.

Hamburg projects for equal opportunities and the future

The Mittagskinder foundation enables around 200 children in Hamburg to receive not only a warm lunch, but also educational support and homework help on a regular basis. In addition, numerous families are currently being supported with shopping vouchers for groceries. The Kultur Palast Hamburg foundation provides children with access to music and dance projects and is currently also implementing digital campaigns. The Wilhelmsburg Production School is particularly committed to equal access to education. It trains and qualifies young people for the transition into the job market after leaving school and offers product-oriented learning in five occupational fields (metal, wood, gastronomy, retail, hairdressing).

In particular, it is the thematic proximity to their own apprenticeship as a construction mechanic that makes Still an ideal partner for the project. Both sides therefore want to intensify their cooperation in the coming year in order to create even better opportunities for graduates to start their careers in the future - e.g. at Still. "The Wilhelmsburg production school is a great example of how social support and fair participation in training opportunities can succeed in the long term - locally, concretely and practically," praises Thomas A. Fischer.
