Following Toyota's systematic expansion of its industry presence with the acquisition of Bastian Solutions and Vanderlande Industries in 2017, the next step follows in the DACH region: with the Logistics Solutions Integration (LSI) division, Toyota MH Germany is repositioning itself as a full-service provider for turnkey, integrated automation solutions. Martina Möller will be responsible for the division in her role as Managing Director "Strategic Customers, Logistics Solutions and Digitalization" at the company. Alona Khalizeva, Group Head of Logistics Solutions Integration since 1 January 2022, will play a key role in shaping and driving the development. She brings several years of intralogistics experience from the Autostore department at Hörmann Logistik.

More efficiency and profitability

As a total solutions provider, Toyota MH is now able to design and integrate turnkey automation projects that are individually tailored to customer requirements. Bundled under the LSI division, the offering includes some of the latest intralogistics technologies designed to increase operational efficiency and profitability. Automated pallet warehouses, shuttle and self-supporting systems, sorters, conveyor systems and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are used for everything from goods receiving, storage and picking to packing and shipping. In addition, a warehouse execution system (WES) ensures that the warehouse control system (WCS) and warehouse stock management system (WMS) are integrated on the software side.

One focus of the expanded portfolio is on an intelligent, automated small parts warehouse that uses automated robots for storage. Toyota is now also offering the modular and high-density system in German-speaking countries via its subsidiary Bastian Solutions. Customers benefit from the experience of system integrator Bastian Solutions, which has been an official partner of Autostore since 2013.

Post Systemlogistik automates warehouse processes

With the automation of a small parts warehouse of Post Systemlogistik, a subsidiary of Österreichische Post AG, a well-known project partner has already been acquired: The three Toyota Material MH national companies in Germany, Spain and Austria have jointly developed an overall concept that has convinced Post Systemlogistik to implement the first LSI project in the DACH region with the Toyota MH team. "With this project, we want to increase the capacity and productivity of our fulfillment center. Our aim is to further increase customer satisfaction through faster and more reliable processes. The new solution also has the potential to significantly improve work ergonomics for our employees," says Thomas Hagen, Head of Autostore and Automation at Austrian Post, explaining the collaboration.

With the new business unit, customers from the DACH region will benefit from a comprehensive range of integrated automation solutions. With the expertise of Bastian Solutions, Vanderlande and Toyota MH, a unique bundled competence is available in the logistics industry. Added to this is customer service - from preventive maintenance to complete service packages as well as remote monitoring and financing options.
