18th Forklift Cup in Aschaffenburg
On October 27 and 28, more than 80 of the best drivers competed in the forklift driving championships at the f.a.n. Frankenstolz Arena in Aschaffenburg.
More than 4,500 spectators watched the two-day event on site and over 6,000 via livestream. The StaplerCup traditionally opens with the company team championship, and the 2023 event was no exception. The field of participants was packed with well-known names such as Continental, The Lorenz Bahlsen Snack World, Ferrero, WLC Würth-Logistik and ZF Friedrichshafen. Shortly after 7 p.m., the decision was made between the teams ZF Friedrichshafen and Fienhage Poultry-Solutions. The final ended prematurely for the Friedrichshafen team due to a breach of the rules. Fienhage then drove onto the Weber HeroRamp with the trophy tower stacked up, but despite the sensitive driving style, the tower crashed shortly before the end of the seesaw. Nevertheless, the team secured the title win with this overall convincing performance.
In the men's competition, Joshua Glöggler kept a cool head and drove his tower confidently over the Weber HeroRamp. He parked his Linde X35 electric forklift within the designated marking and sprinted bravely towards the buzzer to thunderous applause from the crowd. With an outstanding time of 3:28 minutes, he secured the German Championship in forklift driving. Melanie Holl from Hurlach emerged as German champion in the women's category with a time of 7:20 minutes. Steffi Schache from Neustadt an der Donau was runner-up. An atmospheric concert with pop pop star Vanessa Mai crowned the 18th Stacker Cup.
