The panel for controlling all appliance functions and the chain hoist movement is shaped like the sleek steering wheel from a Formula 1 racing car. The ergonomically shaped, wide operating handle reduces the effort required for handling and enables health-friendly working. The design of the control unit with its two rows of buttons ensures intuitive operation: The user can clearly assign the individual functions using colored buttons with symbols. This reduces the risk of operating errors.

The user activates the vacuum with the green control button and deactivates it by pressing the two red switches at the same time. The gray travel sensor controls the up and down movement of the chain hoist at two speeds. Depending on the version, the user of the lifting aid can use the blue button to swivel (VacuMaster Comfort 90), turn (VacuMaster Comfort 180) or rotate (VacuMaster Window Comfort) the load. And if something should go wrong, Schmalz has fitted a central emergency stop switch that can be used to stop the up and down movement and, if necessary, the swivel, tilting or turning movement.

The new control unit replaces the previous version and is available in three versions: as a fixed version, with infinitely adjustable working height or as a version for adjusting the working height and tilting the control panel. With the optional adjustment and tilting function, it allows ergonomic handling even in high or low positions. The operating units are part of the VacuMaster Comfort modular system in different lengths.
