SpanSet: Telematics finds its way into load securing

SpanSet presented itself at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover with the trade fair motto "The fine art of load securing". With its IDXpert electronic product management and identification system, SpanSet is one of the pioneers in the electronic recording and archiving of inspection data. Modern technology also played an important role in the highlight at the IAA 2016: the new Tension Force Transponder TFT telematics system takes load securing with lashing straps to a new level in terms of safety, handling and documentation. The new TFT is the logical electronic further development of the familiar TFI (Tension Force Indicator) mechanical pre-tensioning indicator specially developed for lashing straps. The TFI - a small and lightweight component that is permanently installed in the tensioning element of the lashing strap - displays the actual pre-tensioning force applied, makes it verifiable and thus simplifies the calculation and documentation of the securing forces. The TFT now not only documents the securing forces, but also transmits the data to the driver's cab of the transport vehicle and archives it.
