12th German Sustainability Award
The German Sustainability Award ceremony took place in Düsseldorf with around 1,200 guests from politics, business and society. For the twelfth time, the German Sustainability Award Foundation honored companies that are breaking new ground with innovative products and services, high ecological standards in production or special social responsibility. "Being among the top three companies in this high-ranking competition is a great honor for us," says Dr. Kurt Schmalz. "The topic of sustainability is very important to us - and has been for almost 110 years, since our company was founded. I am therefore all the more pleased that the expert jury has also recognized our efforts in this area."

High resource efficiency convinces

"This excellent ranking confirms our daily work, and our thanks naturally go to our employees. We contribute to a sustainable society by working and acting responsibly," says Andreas Beutel, Managing Director of J. Schmalz GmbH. The vacuum specialist always strives to keep the CO2 footprint of its products to a minimum. This is achieved, for example, through the use of renewable energy sources, the shortest possible transport routes for supplied parts, a design that does not use energy-intensive materials and lightweight construction - as with the FXCB area gripper.
