MiniTec integrates subsidiaries and invests
MiniTec continues to grow and expand and has completed the integration of two Berlin subsidiaries. W&P GEAT GmbH and W&P Wolf & Partner GmbH are now trading as MiniTec Berlin GmbH. With the full integration into the group of companies, further investments are also being made in the location with the aim of further strengthening the presence in the eastern German states and in Poland.
In addition to its global activities, MiniTec is also strengthening its presence in Germany and Central Europe. The Rhineland-Palatinate-based company acquired the Berlin-based companies W&P GEAT GmbH and W&P Wolf & Partner GmbH at the end of 2016. There was already a long-standing partnership with both companies at the Berlin Adlershof science location. W&P GEAT has been selling MiniTec products for many years; W&P Wolf & Partner specializes in fluxless soldering and develops and manufactures automatic soldering machines. These are used in automotive engineering, in the manufacture of heating pumps or in units for aggressive media. Wolf+Partner is one of the leading suppliers in Europe in this field.
Both companies have now been fully integrated into the MiniTec group of companies and operate under the name MiniTec Berlin GmbH. Under the new flag, they advise and supply customers and partners in eastern Germany and Poland. As part of the change of name, further investments are being made in the Berlin site. Processes will be further optimized and the IT will be supplemented with an ERP system (business management software) and connected to the company headquarters. "With our investments, we are focusing on continuity and growth at the Berlin site," says MiniTec Managing Director Sandra Geyer-Altenkirch, who manages the site together with long-standing Managing Director Olaf Schief.
