Klinkhammer is equipping the workstation and conveyor technology extension at the European headquarters in Maisach near Munich as well as a new third shuttle aisle with control technology and the Klinkhammer warehouse management system including material flow computer. TTI relies on different storage systems to provide the optimum storage conditions for very different items with many packaging variants and requirements. Around 100,000 products are stored in a warehouse area of 35,000m2 at the European headquarters in order to supply customers with components just in time. The smooth interaction of the warehouse systems is important here. Klinkhammer is now also networking the current extensions to the storage and picking systems with standardized control technology and with the comprehensive Klinkhammer Warehouse Management System including material flow computer.

The previous systems integrated shelf, lift, autostore, shuttle and forklift-operated pallet storage as well as conveyor technology and 75 packing stations. The 2-aisle shuttle warehouse with level-bound shuttles and around 11,000 container storage locations is now being expanded to include a third shuttle aisle. It serves as an order consolidation buffer and is connected to packing stations via two conveyor levels. In addition to the third aisle, the warehouse management system will be expanded to include four goods receiving stations, 24 picking stations with put-to-light display modules and six packing stations. The modular structure of the WMS software, the Klincontrol control technology and the KlinkVision visualization system guarantee performance and transparency.
