Interroll strengthens innovative capacity
Following the establishment of the Interroll Innovation Projects and Development Center (IPDC) in 2019, two new managers with a strategic focus on innovation have recently joined the Interroll team.
The new Interroll Head of IPDC, Dr. Christopher Matheisen, took over the position in August 2020. He has worked in various research and development roles for more than ten years. His professional career includes the role of co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of a successful start-up company in the field of sensor technology and subsequent work as R&D platform manager for autonomous driving at Saint-Gobain Sekurit (Automotive). He has proven expertise in project, resource and budget management as well as interdisciplinary technical knowledge in the fields of electronics, mechanics and software.
The new Interroll Head of Intellectual Property (IP) Stephan Kohlhof took up his post in mid-August 2020. The graduate engineer in mechatronics has been working as a German and European patent attorney for more than ten years. Before joining Interroll, he was head of the Elevator Technologies IP team at Thyssenkrupp's internal IP department, which received the JUVE 2019 Award.
Matheisen and Kohlhof will report to Dr. Christian Ripperda, Vice President System Innovation at Interroll. "We are pleased that with Dr. Matheisen and Mr. Kohlhof, two proven experts will contribute to further strengthening Interroll's innovation capabilities. Our innovation capabilities play a key role in providing our customers with products and solutions that are characterized by quality, speed and simplicity and strengthen our position as a thought leader in our industry," said Ripperda.
