Stable even at minus 70 degrees
Safe transportation of coronavirus vaccines on EPAL Euro pallets
Temperature-controlled Covid 19 vaccines are transported throughout Europe on quality-tested EPAL Euro pallets: The transportation and storage of Covid 19 vaccines is a challenge for any logistics company. Depending on the vaccine, they have to be transported at between minus 20 and minus 70 degrees Celsius. Elaborately developed and produced transport boxes as well as special refrigerators and freezers must be provided to ensure the stability of the vaccines throughout the entire transport chain.
The boxes are only transported on load carriers that are already available in the largest open exchange pool: EPAL Euro pallets. Standardized, produced according to EPAL's technical regulations and made from the natural and sustainable raw material wood, EPAL Euro pallets are suitable for temperature-controlled medicines, especially for the Covid 19 vaccine, which is extremely important in the pandemic.
Low temperatures of minus 70 degrees Celsius or more do not affect the stability and load-bearing capacity of EPAL Euro pallets. While plastic pallets can lose their elasticity at excessively low temperatures, which could increase the risk of breakage, EPAL Euro pallets are suitable for the transportation and storage of goods even at sub-zero temperatures.
In addition, all EPAL pallets are ISPM 15 treated so that goods can also be transported safely outside EU borders. They are repairable, reusable, exchangeable and recyclable, thus ensuring sustainable and safe transport logistics.
