Interim solution ended
Marc Groenewoud becomes new CEO of PAKi Logistics
With effect from August 16, PAKi Logistics has appointed Marc Groenewoud as the new CEO of the pooling company. He replaces Ingrid Faber, who took over as interim CEO following the departure of Christian Agasse.
Marc Groenewoud has come a long way from marketing and sales expert to General Manager with a high level of commercial and operational responsibility. He started his career at Henkel Detergents and worked from Germany and the UK in marketing and sales positions.
After ten years, he moved to METRO Cash & Carry, where he developed the business in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Germany into units with a focus on distribution and e-commerce. During his time as CEO of METRO Cash & Carry Austria, Marc Groenewoud managed a company with 2,300 employees and sales of 800 million euros. As COO of METRO Germany, he managed more than 100 stores with over 14,000 employees and was jointly responsible for business sales of €4.8 billion. After his last role at METRO Germany, he worked as an investor in real estate and IT start-ups. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Giessen and lives in Düsseldorf.
"Thanks to his extensive experience in trade and industry and his entrepreneurial mindset, we are convinced that Marc Groenewoud, together with Sven Kokemor and David Mayo, will lead PAKi Logistics to sustainable growth in the coming years," says Ingrid Faber. "I am very much looking forward to becoming part of PAKi Logistics. PAKi Logistics is a dynamic company that offers me an environment to develop innovative solutions for the digitalization of the supply chain," says Marc Groenewoud.
