DSV expands air freight charter network
DSV's air freight charter network utilizes some of the world's largest airports as well as less congested airports such as Luxembourg, Huntsville (Alabama, USA) and Macau to enable faster ground handling and reduce the risk of delays. DSV also plans and supervises ground handling to ensure short transit times and full door-to-door control.
"In a time of much uncertainty and flight cancellations due to the coronavirus, our air freight charter network has provided stability for our customers and proven to be extremely valuable," explains Mads Ravn, Head of Air Procurement at DSV. "With our latest expansion, we are pleased that customers can now also use this premium service on other important trade routes." German customers will benefit from air freight capacity from Frankfurt Airport to Chicago, Mexico City and Guadalajara. In addition, the Luxembourg/Brussels - New York and Atlanta connection expands the DSV network. The Danish transport and logistics service provider is also increasing its capacity between China and the USA by adding further routes. The network is particularly suitable for handling special cargo such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices, microchips, oversized oil and gas equipment, hazardous goods and high-value goods.
DSV is cooperating with leading cargo airlines to add the following routes to its network: from Macau (Hong Kong) to Mexico City (one way), from Frankfurt to Mexico City and Guadalajara (round trip), from Frankfurt to Chicago (one way), from Hong Kong to Taipei (one way), from Taipei to Huntsville (one way), from Hong Kong to Seoul (one way) and from Seoul to Sao Paolo (one way).
