Ludger van Bebber is looking forward to the new challenge: "Dortmund Airport has developed extremely well in recent years. I am excited by the task of further developing this location in a prospering city with a professional team."

Guntram Pehlke, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dortmund Airport and CEO of the parent company DSW21, said on the occasion of Mager's departure: "I would like to thank Udo Mager for his outstanding work as Managing Director. I would like to thank him personally for the trusting cooperation. I wish him all the best for his new phase of life, above all good health and time for all the things that have been neglected in recent years."

Pehlke is certain that van Bebber will achieve his goals and is the best possible successor for Mager: "Ludger van Bebber is an absolute expert. He knows the aviation industry inside out, has a lot of experience and a large network. He has also proven two things in Weeze: Firstly, that he can handle difficult situations. Secondly, that he can also further develop the ancillary business, the so-called non-aviation sector. All in all, these are precisely the qualities and qualifications needed to continue Udo Mager's extraordinarily successful work. Together, we face major challenges in the coming years. I am very much looking forward to working together."
