A new Boeing for Lufthansa Cargo
Another brand-new Boeing 777F aircraft is to be added to Lufthansa Cargo's freighter fleet. Delivery of the aircraft is expected before the end of this year. A total of fifteen full freighters will then be in service for Lufthansa Cargo customers.
"We are very pleased that we will be able to offer our customers even more freighter capacity in the future. The corona crisis has impressively underlined how important these aircraft are for global supply," said Dorothea von Boxberg, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo.
The twin-engine Boeing 777F has a standard cargo capacity of 103 tons and a range of over 9,000 kilometers. According to the company, it is the most efficient freighter in its class and is significantly quieter than previously deployed three- or four-engine models. Lufthansa Cargo last announced the fourteenth aircraft of this type in March for fall 2021.
