New fork-lift AGV from DS Automotion

Martin Schrüfer,

They called him Arny

With a lifting height of up to 8.5 m and a load capacity of 2.5 t, the Arny driverless counterbalance truck complements the DS Automotion forklift truck family at the upper end of the range.

The particularly compact Arny masters all navigation procedures and can operate with different battery types and charging concepts. With maximum modularity right down to the load handling system kit, it is suitable for all areas of application.

Like the entire family of forklift AGVs from DS Automotion, Arny is also "born driverless". It was created from scratch as a driverless transport vehicle (AGV). Despite its higher weight - required for a counterbalance truck - its turning circle is very small.

For navigation, Arny masters contour-based navigation as well as laser navigation and can also use magnetic points or reflectors for greater positioning accuracy. Thanks to full compatibility with all freely navigating systems from DS Automotion, the AGV can also be used in existing systems. It is also equipped with the universally applicable VDA5050 interface. This enables operation in mixed fleets of AGVs of any type and manufacturer. As a counterbalance truck, Arny does not require any wheel arms under the forks; it lifts the load unsupported up to 8.5 m, depending on the mast version. The fork lift AGV is available in two basic versions, as Arny for 1,500 kg and Arny HD for up to 2,500 kg load capacity.
