Andreas Drost newly elected
MLR appoints board member for AGV department at VDMA
Andreas Drost from Ludwigsburg-based MLR System GmbH is one of three board members in the Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) department of the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association. Andreas Drost was elected to the board at the department's general meeting on September 26, 2019.
The specialist group was founded at the beginning of 2018 in order to do justice to the increased importance of driverless transport vehicles within intralogistics and to define uniform standards and interfaces. "The specialist department's first projects, such as the data interface with the VDA, are running successfully," says Drost. "Another interface topic on the future agenda is "M2X" communication."
With the VDA interface now implemented, MLR is consistently pursuing its path as a system provider. "We want to continue to grow on this basis, particularly in the automotive sector. The signs of the times are pointing towards compatibility and this is the right step for MLR to take," says the Managing Director of MLR System GmbH.
