Stacking and weighing at the same time
Since July 2016, the requirements of the Safety Of Life At Sea (SOLAS) convention have required proof of the weight of a container before it is loaded. The weight can be determined by weighing the complete, loaded container or by weighing the individual goods to be transported and the packaging and filling materials. With Ravas iForks, Ravas offers wireless weighing forks for forklift trucks. Each lifted load is weighed automatically. By weighing each individual pallet when loading the container and then adding the tare weight of the container, the total weight of the container is determined. Weighing is efficient as no truck scales need to be approached. iForks provides a precise weight display in one kilogram increments. iForks Touch has a user-friendly touchscreen display that offers many advanced weighing functions. For simultaneous loading of different containers with different forklift trucks, iForks Touch keeps a register that records the consecutive total weight of each container's contents.
