Daniel Schilling,

With its modular safety and loading technology system of the same name, Expresso, the manufacturer implements individual complete solutions for goods handling.

The current portfolio not only includes a large selection of modern dock levellers, adjustment ramps, loading plates, loading ramps and platforms, but also extends far into operational and occupational safety. These include the Kife radio wedge system, the Stop Bodies swap body safety system, the manual and automatic versions of the Stop Trucks truck blocking system and the combination of Stop Trucks & Stop Bodies. These are joined by the new STL Evo. This automatic access control system prevents the premature or improper removal of a swap body from the ramp. The installation of the Kife radio wedge system is often one of the first safety measures used at the loading interfaces of distribution centers.

The complete solution consisting of wheel wedges and signal lamps can be adapted to any on-site situation. It consists of a station operated at 230 or 400 volts with a sensor wheel chock, an energy-efficient LED traffic light and a control cabinet for the control technology. The wheel chock and traffic light interact with each other in terms of control technology and all actions are communicated acoustically and visually - such as setting the wheel chock, opening the high-speed door, releasing the loading unit for the forklift trucks and much more. Anti-slip plates and accessories round off this safety solution.

The Stop Bodies anti-tipping and support device is a steel blocking system for the immovable stop of a swap body at the loading ramp. The floor-mounted support and locking device straightens automatically and prevents a swap body from sagging or tipping sideways during handling work. In addition to the four bridge supports, Stop Bodies acts as a fifth leg under the bridge, docks to its underbody and braces itself against the ramp. When the steel support is raised, a warning sound and a signal light prevent a truck or a carriage from driving under the swap body to pick it up.
