Celebration in Heddesheim
pfenning logistics takes over 1,250th semi-trailer from Schmitz Cargobull
Schmitz Cargobull has delivered the 1,250 semi-trailer to the pfenning logistics group. Representatives of both companies met at the Heddesheim site to hand over the two-axle semi-trailer. Boris Billich, Sales Director at Schmitz Cargobull, handed over the new vehicle to Karl-Martin Pfenning, Managing Partner of the pfenning logistics group.
"Schmitz Cargobull has proven to be a very reliable partner over the past few years. The vehicle quality, fast and punctual delivery times and Europe-wide availability of spare parts are key features of our quality promise to our customers," says Karl-Martin Pfenning, Managing Partner of the pfenning logistics group. With the recently ordered 55 S.KO two-axle semitrailers in the fresh produce version, Pfenning has taken over the 1,250th Schmitz Cargobull vehicle in its fleet.
"We are proud that we are fulfilling the trust placed in us and that we have already driven forward many a vehicle development together with the pfenning logistics group. Our ambition to be the benchmark for intelligent and efficient transport solutions in the commercial vehicle industry is appreciated by our customers," explains Boris Billich.
As the requirements of customers are also very different in trade logistics, the pfenning logistics group has again ordered S.KO semi-trailers of different lengths from Schmitz Cargobull for the latest batch. The fleet now includes 25 new S.KO twin-axle semi-trailers with forced steering and a length of 11 meters and 30 new S.KO semi-trailers with a length of 13.60 meters. "The loads for our customers have recently become heavier and heavier. The proportion of beverages is increasing. We simply need a second axle," explains René Günzel, fleet manager at pfenning logistics group.
In order to always be able to meet customer requirements, the two companies have a long tradition of working together to implement new ideas. The best-known example of this is the joint development work on a through-loading train for temperature-controlled transportation, of which Schmitz Cargobull has already delivered 200 units to the pfenning logistics group.
